Данный тип сети реализован в соответствии со стандартом IEEE 802.9 и обеспечивает передачу интегрированного трафика, включающего речевые сигналы, данные и видеоизображения. Все услуги предоставляются через специально разработанный модуль доступа AU (Access Unit). Передача данных на физическом уровне обеспечивается в изохронных кадрах со скоростью, кратной 4,096 Мбит/с.
